About Project
Usually when designing new product launch pages and assets, the team had multiple people working on it. At the time we were due to launch the Desire 22 pro smartphone, we had multiple projects on at the same time which meant I was tasked with the launch assets alone. For new product launches the list of required assets are very long, and this was no different.
Items that were needed were a dedicated product landing page, homepage banners, key visuals, shopping cart images, various retail assets in all languages and regions ranging the device, social media assets for multiple platforms and a PR pack sent out to various news outlets.
The HTC Desire 22 pro was the first smartphone to be launched that fully integrated the Metaverse and with VR headsets. The turn around was quite fast, faster than is usually given for new product launches and with it being just me working on the project, I needed to project manage this task alongside my regular daily duties.
The other factor with this project was that various regions would range different colours of the handsets. Some regions in Europe and the Middle East would only range black devices, some regions would range black and gold, Japan had an exclusive red only device. All visuals needed to be produced to reflect this.
I will always be immensely proud of turning this project around ahead of the already tight deadline. The volume of assets produced by the end of this project, including all localised and translated documents, was vast.
